Phase 2: Expanding the Community Center Experience
Community Center Activity & Aquatic Center
Phase 2 brings the next exciting chapter of the Community Center project. This phase will expand and enhance spaces for arts, senior programs, events and community gatherings while transforming the Activity and Aquatic Center with updated fitness areas, aquatics, a walking track and other improvements. Together, these additions will create more opportunities for people of all ages to connect, stay active and enjoy the Community Center.
Phase 2 construction has begun!
The indoor and outdoor pools, waterslide, and other Grove Cove amenities have closed for construction. Swim lessons will continue at alternate locations, including Osseo Middle School and the Holiday Inn & Suites Venetian Waterpark. The specific location for each class will be listed in the activity guide and on the online registration page.
The Ice Arena, gymnasium, Teen Center, Maple Maze, Senior Center, banquet and rental rooms, and Parks and Recreation office will remain open during this stage.
Phase 2 of the project includes the following:
Community Center expansion
Dedicated arts room and gallery
Expanded space for senior programs
New 400-seat banquet room and outdoor event terrace
Updated meeting, party and rental rooms
Maple Grove historical displays
Building infrastructure improvements, including roof and mechanical system updates
Activity &Aquatic Center (current Life Time facility)
Cardio and strength-training equipment
Fitness studios
New and expanded indoor and outdoor aquatic facilities
Indoor walking track
New and expanded indoor playground
Additional recreation and programming space
Teen center
Party rooms
Gymnasium
Phase two construction will begin October of 2026 and is anticipated to reopen in phases with full completion by the end of 2028.
