Work is underway for a brighter future at the Maple Grove Community Center
The Maple Grove Community Center project focuses on renovating and expanding the center to serve the city’s growing and diversifying population.
The Community Center first opened its doors in 1997. Nearly 25 years later, Maple Grove residents approved a local half-percent sales tax to reinvest in the building, ensuring it can continue serving our rapidly-growing community for years to come.
The project is being completed in two phases with final construction expected to be completed by the end of 2028.
Phase 1 Ice Arena addition
Phase 1 was complete in January 2026 and includes the following:
A third sheet of ice and arena lobby expansion
General site improvements and parking lot expansion
The Lions outdoor pavilion and play area
Phase 2 Community Center/Activity & Aquatic Center
Phase 2 has begun and includes renovation and expansion of the existing Community Center as well as the addition of the Activity & Aquatic Center (current Life Time facility).
Phase two construction is anticipated to reopen in phases with full completion by the end of 2028.
